June 2010 Activities!
Monday, June 7th – Playgroups Start! Check the June Newsletter in the Members Only section for more details.
Wednesday, June 9th – 7-9 PM – CAMOMC Meeting at the Sparrow Professional Building, 1215 E. Michigan Ave, Lansing, Room G on the 2nd Floor.
If you are expecting multiples, raising multiples, or are an alumni of the group founded in 1973, please join us! We’ll have refreshments, our usual “Multiple Mania” Q&A, and will be inducting our new officers for the upcoming year. Snack this month will be a potluck. If you have boy/boy twins – bring something salty. Girl/girl – bring something healthy. Boy/girl – bring something sweet. Triplets or more – bring something to drink. We will also be voting our the bylaw revisions. Please do not miss this important meeting!
CAMOMC Summer Picnic – Sunday, July 25th – 11 AM – 3 PM – Granger Meadows, Pavilion #1 – 1745 Granger Meadows Lane, Lansing, MI 48906 – Corner of Wood Rd & State Rd, just north of Eastwood Towne Center
Hot dogs, hamburgers, buns, and water will be provided. Please sign-up for and bring a dish to pass. Bring your own place settings and anything you’d like to drink besides water. There will be games for the kids if they’d like to participate. Be sure to sign up at June’s meeting or by e-mailing Shannon so she can plan quantity of food.

HUGE 20+ family Garage Sale
Saturday, April 24th , 2010
9:00 am to 2:00 pm
at Capital Area Academy – 5525 S. Pennsylvania Ave, Lansing.
Families of twins and triplets are selling all kinds of items. You’ll find beautiful children’s clothing of all sizes at the semi-annual CAMOMC Garage Sale. Everyone welcome! The clothing is neatly organized in a department store style by size and gender to make shopping easy! You
don’t have to have multiples to come and shop. You’ll also find a selection of gently used baby and children’s equipment such as single and double strollers, cribs, potty chairs, pack n plays, swings, changing tables, high chairs, outdoor play equipment, slides, many toys, and
some household items. A must see for new parents to be and seasoned parents looking for a bargain!

CAMOMC Easter Egg Hunt – March 21 – 2-4 PM – Potter’s Park Zoo
Cost is $2.50 per person over the age of 3. Those 3 and under are free. The event includes an Easter Egg hunt, live animal encounters, games, as well as admission to the zoo. This is a PREPAID event. Please sign up by March 15th – Contact Becky for more information. Details are in the newsletter.
April is Multiple Birth Awareness Month
In conjunction with Multiple Birth Awareness Month, CAMOMC is holding several activities.
Friday, April 2 – Jumpin’ Jax Multiples Bounce Night – 4:30-6:30 PM -
Located at 1475 Lake Lansing Rd, 1/2 mile west of Eastwood Towne Center. Jumpin Jax is an inflatables bounce place for children to expend some energy and have a great time. Come and meet other multiples, and have some adult visit time with other parents of multiples! They also have TWO new inflatables to check out! One is specifically for TODDLERS!
Wednesday, April 14 – 7-9 PM – CAMOMC Meeting at the Sparrow Professional Building, 1215 E. Michigan Ave, Lansing, Room G on the 2nd Floor.

Be part of a Multiple Mania Super Saturday! Adults get in free, kids are $4, or CAMOMC families get $10 off a family Impressions 5 membership.
Saturday, April 24 – March For Babies – 10 AM – Riverfront Park, Lansing, MI – CAMOMC has formed a team to walk in the March of Dimes March for Babies. Funds raised in March for Babies support research and programs that help moms have full-term pregnancies and babies beginning healthy lives. They will be used to bring comfort and information to families with a baby in newborn intensive care. Join our team or donate at www.marchforbabies.org/team/t1375058.

CAMOMC Monthly Meeting

Come join us for our monthly meeting at 7:00 PM on Wednesday February 10th. We meet in Room G on the second floor of the Sparrow Professional Annex Building across from Sparrow Hospital. This month our guest speaker on Kingergarten Readiness will be Mrs. Kerry Villegas, Kindergarten teacher at Captial Area Academy. She will answer questions, discuss what teachers are working on with kids, as well as what kids need to know going in to kindergarten. As always, we will have our Q&A session – Multiple Mania – to allow parents to get advice from one another. Join us for some education, support, and socialization!

CAMOMC MONTHLY MEETING
Come join us for our monthly meeting at 7:00 PM on Wednesday March 10th. We meet in Room G on the second floor of the Sparrow Professional Annex Building across from Sparrow Hospital. This month, we will be making care packages for moms that have multiples in the Sparrow NICU. As always, we will have Multiple Mania giving you a chance to seek advice from other parents. Social time will continue after the meeting at Emils. Come join the fun!
